Jody Andrews, a Canadian-born writer and father living in Boulder, Colorado, is currently accepting enquiries from LITERARY AGENTS interested in representing his work.

Growing up on a homestead in northern Canada, Jody immersed himself in reading and writing by oil lamp in the drafty loft of his family’s log cabin, and is often heard saying he did most of his reading before the age of 16. He attended the University of British Columbia and, ultimately, became Deputy City Manager for the City of Vancouver, one of the largest cities in Canada. After leading the team that built the 2010 Olympic Village, he was brought on by the Government of Abu Dhabi as special advisor. From there he travelled the world for work, pleasure, and research for his writing.

Jody brings a unique voice to historical fiction, combining his passion for accuracy with his sparse yet transportive prose. His work lives in the dark undercurrents of the human condition, and he pushes the boundaries of comfort by exploring how otherwise well-meaning and principled people can be swept up in, and participate in, some of the most turbulent and violent times in human history. His first novel - The Wolf and the Lion - is set in King Richard’s Third Crusade, and his second - A Song for Monahsetah - in the American Civil War and ensuing Indian Wars.
